I grew up in Nacogdoches, Texas. I attended Wells College in upstate New York, came back to Stephen F. Austin where I met Robert Moore. After we married, we moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia where he served in the Navy while I completed my education at Old Dominion University. I then started my career in the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch in Virginia Beach. Upon Bob’s retirement from the military, we moved back to Nacogdoches with our two children, Joann (Joey) and Robert (Bobby). Once back in Nacogdoches, I interviewed with A. G. Edwards & Sons and was hired on July 1, 1991. I have a Series 7 & 63 registration, my insurance license, and earned my supervisory 9/10 registration as well. I have stayed with my office through buy-outs and changes and now have 30 years at Wells Fargo & Co and have 36 years in the financial industry.
My father, Dr. William Arscott, has over 50 years of teaching at Stephen F. Austin State University, so I still have a lot of years to catch up with him. My husband, Bob, retired from Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in 2016 after 25 years of service. Our daughter, Joey, is with NISD as a Librarian. She is married to Andrew Fuller (Drew) who is also from here and they have two children, Caroline and Scarlett. Our son, Bobby, lives and works in Nacogdoches. Joey and Bobby are both Stephen F. Austin State University graduates.
