For nearly a decade, Tom Perkins has guided clients through complex financial decisions with clarity, conviction, and a focus on long-term stewardship. Drawing on more than two decades of leadership experience before entering financial services, including senior sales management roles in the semiconductor industry, Tom brings a unique combination of strategic insight, disciplined execution, and purpose-driven planning to every client relationship.
Tom’s career as a Financial Advisor began in 2017. After building a successful practice serving individual investors, business owners, and legacy-minded families, he joined Trinity Capital Management to expand his ability to deliver comprehensive, value-aligned financial guidance.
A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Tom earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds the ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) and AAMS designations. His background in leadership, planning, and strategic operations informs his ability to help clients navigate complexity with confidence and clarity.
Currently serving as Chair of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and is a Board Member of the Tyler Economic Development Council (TEDC). Tom’s leadership extends well beyond the financial arena. As a Leadership Tyler alumnus and board member, he has served in leadership roles across local nonprofit and alumni organizations throughout East Texas.
Away from the office, Tom’s life is centered on faith, family, and adventure. He is involved in men’s discipleship and mentoring, enjoys traveling, and the physical and mental challenges of hiking and mountain climbing. Tom and his wife, Sandy, have two adult children, Ally and Chantz.
